The Jewel Crystal Knighthood Cabinets, named for their handsome edge detail, feature smokey and clear quartz as their centrepieces.
“These pieces are especially unique, the quartz adding an element of deeper meaning and connectivity to the pieces,” said McCarroll. “Smokey quartz has grounding and cleansing qualities, while clear quartz engenders clarity and positivity – two quite beautiful sentiments to bring into your home living spaces.”
For the Jewel Halo Buffet and Jewel Hall Table, McCarroll worked closely with a Victorian-based glass blower to produce magni cent glass blown handles and table bases that add a sublime depth and colourful texture to the collection.
Easily the hero of the collection, the Jewel Scalloped Buffet (pictured above) conjures the 1970s glamour of luxury living in Melbourne. This is captured through details including a 60mm solid timber base and solid brass feet, scalloped door fronts and a Grand Canyon Onyx inlay.
“When designing the Jewel Scalloped Buffet I drew inspiration from my childhood, surrounded by timber artisans and craftsman details,” said McCarroll. “The result is a statement piece with heirloom appeal that shows off Zuster’s exceptional craftsmanship and brings together our passion for design, innovation and, ultimately, function.”
Along with the Grand Canyon Onyx, McCarroll highlights lush new marble additions to the furniture range, including Palomino Quartzite and Golden Forrest marble.
Customisation with Class
Personalisation lives at the heart of the Jewel Collection, which is designed to be fully customisable right down to the nest of details including Zuster’s signature cabinet drawer lining. “Customisation is all part of the Zuster experience. We work very closely with customers to provide a bespoke service which allows them to re ne their Zuster-designed pieces to suit their space, their lifestyle and their needs,” said Sibbel.
With the Zuster factory headquartered in Melbourne, Zuster is able to design, re ne and produce each and every piece of the Jewel Collection on a short, eight week lead time.
“The Jewel Collection is the result of a very organic and creative process which pushes the limits of our craft. Each item within the collection holds a certain kind of magic that strikes a chord and makes a special connection with the user,”
